Cookie policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Complete Wellness Hub uses cookies, and how you can manage your cookie preferences.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work efficiently, improve browsing experiences, and provide analytics to site owners.

What happens before you choose

When you first arrive, our cookie banner asks you to Accept, Reject, or Customize your preferences. Before you make that choice, we send Google a cookieless signal so they can model overall traffic patterns for us. This signal does not include any cookie, does not identify you personally, and your IP address is anonymized by Google at the point of collection. We send the same cookieless signal if you choose Reject. We rely on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) UK/EU GDPR for this measurement; you can object at any time by emailing [email protected].

Once you make a choice, your preferences are honored. If you accept Statistics, Google Analytics is allowed to set its standard cookies (described below) so we can see returning visits and session activity. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set on your device. You will not be re-asked on the same browser unless you reopen the banner via the footer link.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which gives us aggregated traffic data from Cloudflare’s edge network. It is server-side and cookieless: no JavaScript runs in your browser for this purpose, no cookies are set, and no personal data leaves Cloudflare’s EU edge infrastructure for visitors served from EU points of presence. We use it as a cross-check on basic traffic figures.

Types of cookies we use

1. Essential cookies

Necessary for basic site functionality: navigation, secure access, and remembering your cookie consent preference. These cannot be disabled without affecting site performance.

  • wpconsent_uuid (or similar WPConsent preference cookie): set by this site to remember your cookie consent choice so we do not re-prompt you on every page. Duration: 180 days.

2. Analytics cookies

Set only after you accept Statistics. We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic and session activity. Cookies include:

  • _ga: Distinguishes users (2 years)
  • _ga_[ID]: Session state (2 years)
  • _gid: Distinguishes users (24 hours)
  • _gat: Request rate throttling (1 minute)

3. Affiliate and advertising cookies

Affiliate links may trigger third-party cookies to track referrals. These are set by merchant or affiliate network domains and governed by their respective policies. Affiliate tracking cookies typically persist for 30-90 days.
